I continue to be overwhelmed by the response to taking my blog private. I have received thirty new requests today, so I am going to hold out a little longer. I will respond to everyone- it is just taking a little longer than I hoped.
Virginia has slept the last three nights, so that is the only news that counts around here. We got snow (actually, it was mostly ice) on Sunday night and enjoyed a snow day yesterday. Findley wanted to go into work (can you blame him??), but the roads in our little community were closed. He insisted he could drive on them anyway, but when I asked if this were some kind of man-thing, he replied honestly.
"Yes, it is," he said. "I need to show everyone at the office that a little ice isn't keeping me away."
But when I reminded him he has three small kids who depend on him (and Amy was sick, leaving me solo with the kiddos), he stayed. Smart man.
Before I get to the snow pics, I have two little prayer requests. Virginia had botox injections in her adductor muscles this morning. They have become tight, making it hard for her to relax or sit on the floor with me. Hopefully this will help with no real side effects. (We had one near death experience with botox when she was three. Today shouldn't have been a big deal, but the last one really shouldn't have either. I don't take anything lightly with Virginia anymore.)
The other prayer request is a fun one. I am working on a surprise for Virginia in February. Something that would light up her world. I can't tell you what it is until Valentine's Day, but so far, I can't get everything I need to fall into place. I have done all that is humanly possible to no avail, so please just pray that everything falls into place somehow. And all the details on February 14- I promise.
Ok, that's all for now. I am hoping to post something 'real' tonight or in the morning so check back later!
